Pivot Northwest Research was conceived out of a funding effort by The Lilly Endowment in 2016. Seattle Pacific University School of Theology, along with 11 other seminaries and universities nationwide, received funding to explore why young adults (23-29) are not attending or joining American churches. Using our P.A.C.E. rubric and with a second round of funding, our mandate has changed from research and observation to primarily interacting with churches, challenging and guiding them into higher-quality interactions with young adults in their community.
